followed closely by δέ (257/720, 36%). Either καί or δέ occurs as the sentence conjunction in more than 80% of the sentences in the narrative framework. Another 8% (57/720) of narrative sentences are asyndetic, and a further 8% (55/720) have τότε as a sentence conjunction.
